Recreational Complex Spring Hill, Louisiana

Recreational Complex

Because of a longstanding relationship and reputation with the City of Springhill, KSA was enlisted to provide conceptual and technical expertise for a new sporting recreational complex. The complex will serve as a beacon for not only the city, but the surrounding region of south Arkansas and north Louisiana.

Before design began, we provided conceptual designs and drawings to help the city establish a budget and secure funding. Our designs depicted a safe, welcoming environment suitable for youth, families and the entire community to enjoy. To attract and retain residents, high-quality recreational amenities are paramount. We carefully weighed the cost and benefit of each design element to provide top-quality playing fields with a low life cycle cost to maintain.

The recreational facility will include two baseball fields and two soccer fields as well as a softball and T-ball field. The project scope also includes a concession and restroom building along with a pedestrian plaza and a parking area for approximately 100 vehicles. To maximize the efficiency of the field irrigation system and save valuable water resources, the design team utilized advanced, precise grading designs and construction methods to make best use of water retention on the fields.

The complex was designed to be attractive and easily maintained by city staff. As is our custom, KSA provided excellent service to the city while also sustaining a positive working relationship with the local contractor selected. The project is scheduled to be completed on time, within a limited budget.
