Talent Development

Clayton Scales, Talent Development Bright Spot Award

Clayton has gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing training and mentoring to engineering and CAD staff in various areas but in particular grading and drainage projects.  In collaboration with Chris Wilde, he spent numerous hours of his own time developing and continually improving our DES:114 course Basic Grading and Drainage. At this writing, this course is our only offering that has been offered twice with the second class having even more participants than the first. Clayton has consistently supported KSAU not only as a teacher but as an advisor.  I could always count on Clayton to provide keen insights into the training needs of our engineering staff as well as programs for career development.  His willingness to go the second mile in supporting and serving the development of others makes him a very worthy recipient of this award.
