The Bistone Municipal Water Supply District owns and operates a 3 MGD surface water treatment plant and a 3 MGD groundwater
treatment plant. This project consisted of improvements to both plants to bring treatment units in compliance with existing
standards and regulations, as well as to improve the functionality of the plants.
KSA Engineers, Inc. was hired to design improvements at both plants. Improvements at the groundwater treatment plant included
the addition of a generator, fluoride bulk storage visual barrier, and chlorine storage area upgrade.
Improvements at the surface water treatment plant included a generator, new high service pump station, underground feeder, pre-
oxidant/disinfectant contact basin, new chemical feed systems (Cl02, Chlorine, Liquid Ammonium Sulfate, Fluoride, and spare
chemical system), and a filter effluent junction box.
