Our commitment to the welfare of our clients is evidenced by our technological equipment. KSA employs a full-time IT staff  to ensure that all computer needs are met, and to minimize or eliminate downtime from a production standpoint.

KSA utilizes state-of-the-industry equipment, such as Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) workstations and surveying data collectors. All full-time employees have access to technically advanced computer workstations. KSA survey crews, equipped with data collectors, improve production times between data collection and design. All of our field personnel are accessible by cellular phone, ensuring communication even in the most remote locations. Our advanced technical capabilities benefit our clients by allowing more cost-effective and less time-consuming design. Our equipment also facilitates revisions when a change in the scope is required. For our clients' convenience, KSA can also provide electronic files of the design drawings for future use.

KSA begins by hiring the most outstanding engineering graduates. All of the engineers currently employed by KSA graduated from major engineering universities, including Texas A&M University, the University of Texas, Texas Tech University, the University of Arkansas, Auburn University and the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. More than half of the Project Managers at KSA were honor graduates from one of these schools and have an average of fifteen years of engineering experience and an average of ten years with KSA.

In addition to hiring the best candidates, KSA ensures that each employee receives the best training by assigning them to a design team under the direct supervision of an experienced project manager.

KSA organizes each project to ensure success. Project managers embark upon an extensive planning process before any project is started, including development of a project budget and a detailed analysis of the schedule and manpower requirements. Periodic team meetings and close monitoring of budgets and schedules allow KSA to consistently provide quality projects on time and within budget. Our projects are characterized by sound engineering design and constructability. This process has resulted in client satisfaction and an excellent reputation for KSA. Our high percentage of repeat business is proof that we meet our clients' expectations.

This commitment to excellence has also brought recognition and awards to our clients. For example:

• The City of Longview received the prestigious Environmental Protection Agency's Water Excellence award in 1990.
• The City of Longview received the Best Tasting Water in Texas award from the Texas Water Utilities Association.
• Gregg County Airport was recognized in 1991 as the Outstanding Airport in the FAA's five-state Southwest Region.
• Angelina County Airport received the Airport of the Year award in 1997 from TxDOT for General Aviation Airports.
